Basic Life 2023-2024

Basic Life Needs

Hope's Heart desires for all orphans to have their basic needs met including food, clothing, shelter, and attention to their special and growing needs. This goal can often be met through child sponsorship in family care or healing home placements. Nutrition programs provide high quality formula to at-risk babies.
2023-2024 Children Served

Foster Care

Affording children the opportunity to live with a family rather than being institutionalized. Everyday life lessons are learned in addition to experiencing bonding, attachment and family dynamics.

 Healing Homes

Tender care by specially trained nannies creates an environment for medically fragile babies to grow, heal and thrive. Conditions such as prematurity, failure-to-thrive, or pre and post op care are addressed.

Nutrition

Nutrition programs provide quality fortified formula for at-risk babies whose bodies require added nutrition to thrive.  Nutritional foods strengthen little ones preparing for or recovering from surgery and children whose health is comproised because of inadequate nourishment.

 Basic Necessities

Supplying basic necessities that support daily care such as bottles, clothing, diapers, winter coats, cribs, etc.

Winter Clothing, Lotion, and Art Supplies
December 2023- It's no surprise that kid's eventually grow out of their clothing or that the clothes wear out from lots of use.  This winter, Hope's Heart is honored to supply new winter clothing to bundle the kids in warmth and protect their health.
The cold and dry winter weather can take a toll on the delicate skin of little ones.  Moisturizing is an effective way to keep skin hydrated and protected and prevent cracking and irritation.  The healing home nannies are being provided lotion to apply daily to the babies and children in their care.
It is commonly known that access to and use of art and school supplies enhances a child's creativity and expression, develops fine motor skills, engages the senses, and fosters critical thinking.  Hope's Heart is thrilled to provide art and school supplies to support sensory development and learning concepts... while the kids have fun doing so.
Formula and Cereal
November 2023- As we are all aware, there continues to be a mounting cost for nutritional necessities like baby formula and cereal.  A supply of these essential items was purchased for the little ones at the healing home.
Spring Field Trip
June 2023- Excitement filled the air as a number of foster care children had the unique opportunity to experience a day at the zoo and a special lunch.  Doesn't everyone love to watch the monkeys, bears, giraffe, deer, elephants, zebras, etc?  Of course, watching the sea lion show is always captivating.
The children had an unforgettable day filled with many positive memories.
Supply of Cleft Bottles
February 2023- Babies who are born cleft affected (cleft lip and/or cleft palate) require special attention to feeding.  Cleft bottles help aid in the feeding when suction is limited.  These bottles are specially designed to help the flow of milk to accommodate the baby's feeding need.  Hope's Heart is honored to supply cases of these bottles for orphan feeding care.
