In a night to raise funds to provide life-saving Automated External Defibrillators (AED\u2019s) to schools and other institutions across the U.S., Charles raised over $5,000 thanks in large part to generous donations from everyone in attendance.<\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 610px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hopeysheart.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/HHF-PARTY.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.hopeysheart.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/HHF-PARTY-600x398.jpg\" alt=\"HHF PARTY\" width=\"600\" height=\"398\" \/><\/a><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo by Arnett Murry<\/p><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Following the 2013 WNBA All-Star Game, Charles hosted fans, sponsors and many of her colleagues at Geno\u2019s Fastbreak inside the Mohegan Sun Casino for a night of food, drinks and raffle prizes which included U.S. Olympic Women\u2019s Basketball game-worn jerseys and autographed WNBA All-Star memorabilia.<\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 610px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hopeysheart.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/HHF-Party-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.hopeysheart.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/HHF-Party-1-600x398.jpg\" alt=\"HHF Party (1)\" width=\"600\" height=\"398\" \/><\/a><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo by Arnett Murry<\/p><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Charles received amazing support from her WNBA family including Diana Taurasi, Sue Bird, Maya Moore and Anne Donovan, as well as WNBA Commissioner Laurel Richie and NBA Deputy Commissioner Adam Silver.<br \/>\nThe night culminated with the presentation of AED\u2019s to the Markman Children\u2019s Program and the Boston Higashi School for Autism, two of this year\u2019s recipients of the Hopey\u2019s Heart Foundation Grant Program.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_367\" style=\"width: 610px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hopeysheart.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/HHF-Party-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-367\" class=\"size-large wp-image-367\" src=\"http:\/\/www.hopeysheart.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/HHF-Party-2-600x398.jpg\" alt=\"HHF Party (2)\" width=\"600\" height=\"398\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.hopeysheart.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/HHF-Party-2-600x398.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.hopeysheart.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/HHF-Party-2-300x199.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.hopeysheart.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/HHF-Party-2-250x166.jpg 250w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-367\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo by Arnett Murry<\/p><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Aside from the Markman Children\u2019s Program and the Boston Higashi School for Autism, there were 16 other recipients awarded an AED from Hopey\u2019s Heart Foundation.
